So, here's my life in a nutshell:
- I quit my day job
- I'm going on vacation
- I got a new job
- And possibly have another new job on top of THAT one
WHAT!? Yeah. Aug. 15 is my last day at the Academy. Needed some ch-ch-changes, mostly the kind that mean not having a hard time getting out of bed every morning to go to work. The day after that, I leave for a week-long vacation with the family. I can't really express how excited I am about this trip. I love having a chance to spend time with the whole crew at once, even though we sometimes get a little nutty. It's all good family fun.
When I come back, I'll start a job at UCSF. They've hired me to work on their student newspaper (yes, I've come full circle) and I will do that, some freelance work, probably some babysitting (use the talents you have, right?) and plug away at my 45 in-class hours I need for the credential program at SFSU.
I'm excited by the changes and the thrill of not really knowing how things will work out. I just have faith that they will, and that's plenty for me at this point.
Hooray, happy!

i've been talking w/people about this a lot lately, for some reason -- about taking the risk and making changes (or ch-ch-changes) rather than staying stuck in the mire. it takes courage and a lot of optimism, and i'd say you have both! makes life far more interesting, if you ask me! i enjoy being along for the ride.
